University of Denver Named Top College in USA for Women’s Soccer
USA Today recently anointed the University of Denver as the number one college soccer program for women in the USA. Using criteria of team success, overall quality of the school, and academic success of players, the online edition of the paper wrote:
The University of Denver is known to be one of the best schools in Colorado, with a low student to faculty ratio and a higher than average graduation rate. Head women’s soccer coach Jeff Hooker has led the program since 1992. His team has won 77.4% of its games over the last four seasons and earned four straight Sun Belt Conference titles. The Pioneers’ women’s soccer program has earned a Graduation Success Rate (GSR) of 95% or higher for ten straight years.
Certainly well-earned recognition for the Pioneers, who finished the recent fall schedule with a 10-8-2 record, and kick of their Spring slate of games on March 7, 2015 versus the Colorado Buffaloes.
